These past couple of months have been a complete whirlwind for me. Moving to San Diego has brought so many incredible opportunities for learning and fun. So it is with sadness and trepidation but also excitement that I write this post.
No more blog posts, no more me. It’s time for those hours to be dedicated to my other pursuits.
As you’ve read me preach many time before, being in tune with your body is the primary element in living a healthy life. Recently, my body has been telling me “no.” Sleep is getting more difficult, my base stress levels are higher than usual, and writing is no longer a joy but another task to complete. Relaxation time is waning and my nerves are ravaged. Unfortunately, the very first thing that has to give is this here little blog.
When I started to write about one year ago, I had no idea what I was doing. I had no idea what a blog was or why people became “bloggers.” Now I understand. Blogging brought me love and support at a time when I had very few friends. It made me excited to research and experiment with my health, bringing out the enthusiast in me.
With this blog, I have discovered a part of myself that will never disappear. This passion I have, to spread the happiness of health, is now a concrete part of my character. SWEET!
To the family and friends reading regularly, thanks for being interested in what I have to say. It’s a surreal experience to see a loved one after many years apart and have them know exactly what’s going on in my life.
For that reason, I’m not pulling the blog off the web or shutting down communication all together (are you crazy!?) I will post when I feel like it. When I have some great news to spread or just need an outlet to get on my soap box once again. I have no idea what this blog will become now but I’m ok with it.
So, goodbye for now., I’ll see you around. Thank you for your support and love. And most of all: THANKS FOR READING!
Love and a big (HUGE) hug -Ash
My beautiful girl.

Been fab reading your blog. Onward and upward my lovely. x
As a fellow blogger, I totally understand. I, myself, have also slowed down a bit on the blog because it was kind of sucking the joy out of it, so I skip days sometimes, and I don’t feel bad about it! I am allowing myself this freedom to talk about what I love, what inspires me, what I want to share, and most importantly when I want to share it.
I’m sorry for not noticing this post until just now, but I still wanted to send you a big virtual hug, although we’ve never met in person.
And no worries, we’ll be here when you get back 😉
Take care of yourself!

Ashly, Dont know if you’ll see this, but somehow I got so busy and just recently wondered why I haven’t seen you on here! I always enjoyed seeing you at Maximized Living so now I see you have moved! and have a new job or two! awesome but I want you to know you were such a breath of fresh air when I saw you and reading your blog. I haven’t stayed up with Dr Sparks and wish I would have. Winter has been hard and moreso for my hubby who turns 70 this year. He has CHF and diabetes so I’m trying to help him and me. Take care and hope to see an email that you have another blog for me! Love, Carolyn Turbett, Peoria
Carolyn, I didn’t see this until now! I have moved and I’m loving life. I’m keeping busy with one main job and two or three side gigs. My boyfriend and I live in a great apartment in downtown San Diego. I workout most morning and am really enjoying the California sunshine.
It’s a shame you didn’t stay with Maximized Living. As you know, they help SO many people in your situation. I hope that you can still find support in your quest for better health for you and your husband.
I really miss writing and hope to return to it in the next few months. Make sure you’re subscribed and they’ll go right to your inbox.
I hope all is well and that the winter isn’t too terrible.
Hugs, Ashley.
Thanks for your reply, Ashley. So glad you are doing really well! If you always exercise and eat right, and have a relationship with God, you’ll do great! We have loved your personality and openness at Max Living. I have had a sugar addiction my whole life which I am getting control of. On Jan 1, my hub and I went on the 21daysugardetox after seeing it on fb. we are still on it and only eat a few carbs. It will take my body some time to recover and detox. Also with my fibro from the car accident 25 yrs ago, I have constant pain and the pain meds are not helping with my detox. wish I could quit them cold-turkey! My daughter, Amy got us into Max living and she is a great support with our new lifestyle (diet) when you go to bed tired and in pain and get up the same way, its hard to make yourself go 30 min. to the chiro. I may see if I can go back. Love and blessings, Carolyn (and Stan)
